Job summary

Baines Endowed VC Primary School in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire, is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated Support Team. You will help deliver learning interventions, work with the class teacher, and build positive relationships with pupils to support progress and attainment.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification and GCSEs in English and Maths. The post is part-time, term-time only, with pro-rata salary; DBS checks and safeguarding are noted requirements.

Summary

The children, staff and Governors at Baines Endowed Voluntary Controlled Primary School are now seeking to appoint a caring,enthusiastic and nurturing Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work as part ofour amazing Support Team,supporting the children's learning as well as developing excellent relationships with all stakeholders. We have high expectations and are looking for someone who will take pride in their work and who wants the children to achieve their full potential. We have a talented and committed team who are passionate about supporting and developingthe 'whole child' while providing the a learning opportunities that meet all needs.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

Essential Qualifications
  • GCSE English grade C+ (or equivalent).
  • GCSE mathematics grade C+ (or equivalent).
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification.
Desirable Qualifications
  • First Aid certificate - Paediatric (if possible).
  • Childcare qualifications.
  • Early years qualifications.
  • Training in SEND.
Essential Experience
  • Workingin a nursery or primary setting.
Desirable Experience
  • Understanding of the nationalcurriculum and its assessment.
  • An awareness of the importance of safeguarding and keeping children safe.
  • Experience of working and supporting children with SEND/additional needs.
