Job summary

St George’s C E Primary School is seeking an excellent teaching assistant to join our team. The role is 25 hours per week, 8:30am to 1:30pm, during term time, and is temporary with an initial end date of July 2026 due to funding.

The successful candidate will provide either one‑to‑one support or general classroom assistance, work well within a friendly staff, and uphold the school's distinctive ethos. A DBS check will be completed as part of safer recruitment.

Qualifications

• 25 hours per week, term time only.
• Temporary position.
• Starting as soon as possible.
• One year initially (until end of academic year in July 2026) with potential extension.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupil one-to-one or as general teaching assistant depending on experience.
• Work 8:30am–1:30pm during term time.
• Contribute to a supportive team in a school with Christian ethos.
