Job summary

St George’s C E Primary School is seeking an excellent teaching assistant to join our team. The role is 25 hours per week, 8:30am to 1:30pm, during term time, and is temporary with an initial end date of July 2026 due to funding.

The successful candidate will provide either one‑to‑one support or general classroom assistance, work well within a friendly staff, and uphold the school's distinctive ethos. A DBS check will be completed as part of safer recruitment.

Temporary

The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an excellent teaching assistant to join our team to start as soon as possible. They will be required to work 25 hours per week, 8.30am to 1.30pm, during term time only. This position will either be one to one support for a pupil or general teaching assistant, depending on the successful candidate’s experience. Initially, we are only able to offer one year (until the end of the academic year in July 2026) due to funding, however we are hoping this will be extended for a longer period of time.
