Job summary

St Thomas More is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in their learning journey. The role runs 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time, with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break, and is paid on Salary Scale C point 4 with an actual starting salary of £17,039.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant
• Literacy and numeracy GCSE grade 4 (C) or above and IT competency
• Organised and creative
• Adaptable with a positive attitude

• Ability to converse in English with pupils, parents and staff

Level 1 Teaching Assistant

08:45am-15:15pm Monday to Friday (Term time only)

The governors are seeking to appoint a L1 Teaching Assistant to support our pupils in their learning journey.

• Have previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant
• Have good standards of literacy and numeracy equivalent to GCSE grade 4 (c) or above and competency with IT
• Are organised and creative
• Are adaptable and have a positive attitude

• Are committed to team work
• Are willing to undertake relevant training
• Have the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents, colleagues, governors and visitors to the school in accurate spoken English in accordance with the Fluency Duty.
