Job summary

West Monkton Church of England Primary School in Taunton, part of The Oak Partnership Trust, is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and with small intervention groups. The role involves adapting learning and working closely with teachers and the SENDCo.

Applicants should have experience in education and with SEND or High Needs. DBS clearance and references are required; the post is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, starting ASAP, 30 hrs 25 mins per week, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experience in an educational setting (preferred).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and High Needs (desirable).
• Experience working with children in a school environment (beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND as required.
• Support and deliver learning activities with small intervention groups.
• Adapt learning activities as identified by teachers and SENDCo.
• Collaborate with class teachers, Pastoral Assistant and other Teaching Assistants to support pupils.
