Job summary

The Oak Partnership Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant for West Monkton C of E Primary School to join their team. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 pupil support and assist with small intervention groups, adapting learning as directed by teachers and the SENDCo.

Role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, 30hrs 25mins per week, term-time only. Salary is £17,571 per annum pro rata, with DBS clearance required.

Qualifications

• Experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Experience working with children with High Needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with a range of SEND needs.
• Support and deliver learning activities with small intervention groups.
• Implement adaptations to learning as identified by class teachers and SENDCo.
• Collaborate with class teachers, the Pastoral Assistant and fellow TAs to support pupils effectively.

Teaching Assistant West Monkton C of E Primary School, part of The Oak Partnership Trust, is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team.We are seeking a flexible and adaptable individual who can respond positively to the varying needs of our pupils and school. The successful candidate will provide support to pupils on a 1:1 basis, as well as working with small intervention groups.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with a range of specific SEND needs, as required.
• Supporting and delivering learning activities with small intervention groups.
• Putting into practice adaptations to learning as identified by class teachers and the SENDCo.
• Working collaboratively with class teachers, the Pastoral Assistant and fellow Teaching Assistants to provide effective support for pupils.

Desirable experience:

• Previous experience of, working within an educational setting,
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
• Experience of working with children with High Needs.

Salary: Grade 15 point 3, £17,571 per annum, pro rata

Hours of work: 30hrs 25min per week. Term time only - 38 weeks per year

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2027
