Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming secondary schools across the Wirral. Roles are full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–3:30pm, starting in September.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children or young people, be patient and reliable, and hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or transferable experience. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Candidate should be patient, enthusiastic and committed to helping students reach their potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Reliable and proactive team player.
• Teaching Assistant qualification or transferable experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.

Overview

Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools (Full-Time) – Wirral. September start. Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm.

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across the Wirral.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to build your career in education, we have a range of exciting full-time opportunities available supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
• Providing additional support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), where required.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging student engagement.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable but not essential).
• Are patient, enthusiastic and committed to supporting students to reach their full potential.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or transferable experience (preferred but not essential).
