Whitesheet C of E Primary Academy in Wiltshire invites applications for a Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming village school. This fixed-term post supports pupils in and out of the classroom, contributing to a nurturing environment where every child can thrive during term-time.

The role is 30 hours per week, term-time only (38 weeks per year), working with teachers and learners to support attainment and wellbeing in a caring team.

Salary: £25,185 per annum

Whitesheet C of E Primary Academy is a warm, welcoming village school with a strong sense of community, where every child is valued, encouraged, and supported to achieve their full potential. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated, friendly team for 30 hours a week (term-time only on a fixed term contract until 31/8/2027).

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will help create a nurturing and engaging learning environment where children feel confident, happy, and motivated to succeed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning activities across the school.
  • Working with individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning and development.
  • Helping children to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children's emotional wellbeing.
  • Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and learning activities.
  • Promoting the school's Christian values and inclusive ethos.
  • Contributing positively to the life of our small school community.
