Job summary

Long Term Futures is recruiting a dedicated Reception Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs as they begin their school journey in a welcoming primary school in Walsall.

You will work alongside an experienced EYFS team to create a nurturing, engaging environment where every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in a childcare-related subject or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Experience supporting children in an Early Years or primary school setting.
• Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for Reception pupils with SEN.
• Help children settle into school routines and develop confidence.
• Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
• Assist with play-based learning and Early Years activities.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to support individual learning plans.
