Teaching assistant TA Autism ASD Here at Axcis, we are looking for an SEN/ SEND teaching assistant job for a qualified teaching assistant with experience of working with ASD pupils. The role is full-time, 8.30 to 3.30 during term time, in a large secondary inclusive school in Swindon. They require a long term TA who has varied SEN experience to support a range of KS2 students. The school has a SEN resource provision and a large team of dedicated teaching and support staff who assist a range of needs including ASD, CLD, and challenging behaviour. Experience supporting SEN conditions would be beneficial alongside having a calm and understanding approach. Knowledge of PECS, BSL or Makaton would also be desirable as you may be required to support non verbal students. This role is to start ASAP and is an on-going role.
