Job summary

Axcis Education in Swindon is seeking a qualified teaching assistant with SEN experience, particularly with ASD. The role is full-time, 8.30 to 3.30 during term time, in a large secondary inclusive school. You will support KS2 students with various SEN needs and may assist non-verbal pupils with PECS/BSL/Makaton.

Immediate start and potential for a permanent position. The school values a calm, adaptable approach and teamwork, with a DBS check expected.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with SEN/SEND, ideally Autism (ASD).
• Calm and understanding approach; able to adapt learning to meet needs.
• Able to work in a small team as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Support a range of KS2 students with SEN needs.
• Assist students with ASD and other needs in a large secondary inclusive school.
• Build and maintain rapport with students and contribute to a positive learning environment.
