Cedars Park Primary School in Stowmarket, Suffolk, is seeking a Teaching and Breakfast Club Assistant to support pupils and learning. The role combines Teaching Assistant duties (TA) and Breakfast Club Assistant duties (BCA) with a total of 30 hours per week over 39 weeks per year.

The post is permanent, starting December 2026, with applications welcomed for the TA portion as well. Salary details are provided below and DBS checks are required for successful applicants.

Cedars Park Primary School is looking for enthusiastic and committed Teaching and Breakfast Club Assistant to support teaching and learning within our school.

• Teaching Assistant (TA): 8.30 am - 3.10 pm, 30 hours per week.
• Breakfast Club Assistant (BCA): 7.30 am - 8.30 am, 5 hours per week.
• Applications for just the TA portion of the role are very welcome.

Your role and responsibilities

You will:

• demonstrate high expectations and bring the very best out in all pupils;
• be able to implement school policies, for example safeguarding, behaviour, teaching and learning;
• display excellent communication skills, work well as part of a team and be committed to sharing new ideas across our school and Trust;
• be able to liaise with teachers regarding the progress and support needs of pupils, as well as planning in order to have a positive impact on learning;
• be able to inspire, motivate, support and challenge pupils to promote inclusion;
• have the ability to establish a rapport and act as a role model for pupils, setting high expectations while promoting pupil wellbeing;
• be able to contribute to the planning and assessment for pupils;
• with potential for involvement within our nurture provision.
