Job summary

The Dassett C of E Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its small, friendly team across the school.

In this permanent post, you will work 30.25 hours per week during term time plus 5 inset days, supporting learning and ensuring pupil welfare under the supervision of a class teacher. This role offers training and values a caring approach to all pupils.

Qualifications

• Works under the supervision of a class teacher to assist and support learning.
• Shows care for pupils' safety and welfare.
• Can establish good relationships with all school community members.
• Contributes positively to the school through teamwork with the dedicated staff.
• Able to support individuals or groups, including those with SEND; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering lessons and supporting learning activities.
• Support pupils with their learning and behaviour as part of a small team.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming classroom environment.
• Support pupils with special educational needs where required.

Key Requirements

We are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant who;

• works under the overall supervision of a class teacher to assist and support teaching and learning.
• has excellent regard for the care, safety and welfare of the pupils they work with
• is able to establish and develop good relationships will all members of our school community
• will make a positive contribution to our school through working with our dedicated team
• is able to support individuals or groups, including those with special educational needs, across all areas of their learning
• has experience of working with children with an Special Educational Needs – this is desirable but training will be given for the right candidate.
