Job summary

Ad Warrior in Felixstowe is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing and development at Felix Primary School. The role is permanent, term-time plus one week, 13.5 hours, and is based on site in Felixstowe.

Teaching Assistant

Location: Felix Primary School, Felixstowe IP11 9ED

Salary: Salary Scale 4 (£26,016) – 6 (£26,847) FTE per annum. £8,164 - £8,575 pro rata including an allowance for holiday pay

The qualifications and experience required of a Teaching Assistant are:

• A minimum of a grade C / 4, or equivalent, in English and Maths GCSE. (all roles except cleaners, catering staff & exam invigilators).
• Understanding of SEN code of practice and inclusive practice within a school setting;
• Experience of working with SEND and vulnerable students;
• Knowledge of school curriculum and the academic expectations of year groups;
• Experience of working in small group and on a 1:1 basis with students;
• Experience of administrative and reprographic tasks.
