Lift Schools is seeking a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to join Four Dwellings Academy. You will support students’ learning, development and wellbeing, working with teachers and pastoral colleagues to create an inclusive learning environment where every pupil is supported and valued.

You will assist in classroom activities and targeted interventions, helping students overcome barriers to learning, build independence and confidence, and contribute to a positive school culture.

Formación

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and work within a team.

Responsabilidades

  • Supporting students to access the curriculum and achieve learning goals.
  • Working alongside teachers to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Delivering targeted support and interventions for individual students and small groups.
  • Encouraging students to develop independence, resilience and confidence in learning.
  • Supporting students' social, emotional and mental wellbeing in line with school policies.
  • Monitoring student engagement and progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Assisting in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources to meet learners' needs.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Supporting educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school events.
  • Collaborating with teachers, pastoral teams, the SENDCo and parents to ensure students receive the required support.

Your new role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential by supporting their learning, personal development and wellbeing. Working in partnership with teachers and pastoral colleagues, you will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student feels supported, challenged and valued.


You will work with students both in the classroom and through targeted interventions, helping them overcome barriers to learning, develop independence and build the confidence they need to succeed academically and personally. Through your support, encouragement and positive relationships, you will help improve outcomes and ensure that all students can thrive.


We are looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with young people and committed to making a lasting difference to their educational journey. You will be able to build positive relationships with students, work effectively as part of a team and remain calm and professional when supporting students with a range of learning and pastoral needs.


Key responsibilities include:

We are looking for someone who:


  • Holds GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent qualifications

  • Has experience working with children and young people

  • Can build positive and productive relationships with students

  • Is calm, resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced school environment

  • Can work effectively as part of a team

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

  • Has excellent organisational skills and can manage competing priorities
