Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant for a welcoming school in the NP10 area of Newport that is looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

You will support pupils across Key Stage 1, helping children build confidence, develop key skills and enjoy a positive start to their education. The role offers both full-time and part-time hours with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• EWC registration is required or willingness to register.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering the last 24 months.

Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming primary school in the NP10 area of Newport that is looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 1, helping children build confidence, develop key skills and enjoy a positive start to their education.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with the class teacher to provide support in the classroom, helping pupils reach their full potential.

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and maths activities
• Supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
• Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Helping to prepare learning resources and classroom activities
• Creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
