Teaching Assistant - Plymouth

Educated Recruitment, a supply teacher employment business in its 10th year of establishment, is looking for teaching assistants to fill exciting ad hoc supply teaching assistant opportunities in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

We cover day-to-day, short-term, and long-term supply roles, and are always seeking Primary teachers, secondary teachers, cover supervisors, HLTAs, and teaching assistants to join our team in the Plymouth area.

The Job Role

We are seeking passionate and driven teaching support staff for supply teaching assistant assignments, covering day-to-day, long-term, short-term, and permanent roles across various educational settings. Flexible working hours are available, whether full or part-time.

Please note: Our standard daily pay rate is £85 for teaching assistants and £95 for SEN teaching assistants. Prior experience working with children in a classroom setting is preferred, but no formal qualifications are necessary. For longer-term placements with additional responsibilities, pay can be negotiated up to £100 per day, depending on school budgets.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher
• Following safeguarding and school policies
• Working 1:1 or with whole classes

Teaching Assistant Essentials

• Previous experience working with children

• A current DBS or Update Service subscription (the agency can assist with this)
