Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN children
• Providing one-to-one support for pupils with SEN to facilitate curriculum access
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborating with staff and parents/guardians to support pupil progress

Requirements for a SEN Teaching Assistant :

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Experience working with individuals with SEN
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Relevant experience in educational settings
• Knowledge of SEN support strategies and techniques
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual needs
