Sports Teaching Assistant

Location: Travelling in and around PLYMOUTH

Salary: £88.94 per day

Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm, 5 days per week

About the Role

Are you frustrated in your current role? Do you work in the education sector and are looking for a change? Are you passionate about physical activity and getting children active?

We are working with schools across PLYMOUTH seeking full-time Teaching Assistants with a background in Sports. Experience supporting PE and Forest School activities is desirable.

We collaborate with a large trust that manages multiple schools including those in Plymouth, Launceston, Liskeard, and Tavistock.

Experience working with children with additional needs would be a significant advantage.

Applicants with a UK driving license and own car are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide students as a Teaching Assistant, offering personalised guidance and support.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
• Support outdoor education, Forest School, and PE activities.
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social interactions and communication skills.
• Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement interventions to address behaviour challenges and promote positive outcomes.
