Job Title: Supply Teaching Assistant
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £80 - £95 per day
Start Date: September 2024

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant in Plymouth for regular cover work in SEN schools.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support and guidance, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Foster social interactions and communication skills in a nurturing environment.
  • Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and behaviour interventions, utilising diverse teaching methods tailored to SEN students' needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to cultivate a positive atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with SENCO, parents, and external agencies, maintaining detailed records of student progress and interventions.
  • Participate in ongoing mentorship and professional development to improve teaching skills and advance in the field of education.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills for clear interactions.
  • Priority given to applicants with a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Commitment to student success.
  • Experience working with individuals with severe learning difficulties or other SEN prefered.
