Job summary

Orchard Meadow Primary School, part of United Learning, seeks a proactive Teaching Assistant to support teachers in delivering high-quality learning and targeted interventions for diverse learners, including SEND and EAL pupils.

You will foster an inclusive, calm classroom environment, assist with behaviour support, and help pupils reach their full academic and social potential through collaborative teamwork with colleagues across the school community.

As a Teaching Assistant you will work closely and under the guidance of teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, providing targeted intervention, guidance and appropriate challenge to help students achieve their full potential. You will support a diverse range of learners, including pupils with SEND and those with English as an additional language (EAL), helping them to access learning whilst promoting confidence, independence and resilience. Working alongside your colleagues, you will contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive and succeed. You will contribute to maintaining a calm, focused learning environment and support effective behaviour management.
