Teaching assistant – Full-Time

Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Start Date: 14th September
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full-Time

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in the Nottingham area on a full-time basis from September.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for someone with experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a specialist education setting. Any successful candidate will be working with a number of SEN and AP schools in the ESTEEM MAT, working with a number of young people to help them achieve their potential.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN to help them access the curriculum.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities.
  • Support the implementation of Education Healthcare Plans (EHCP’s) and personalised learning strategies.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development.
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to meet pupils' individual needs.
  • Support personal care and wellbeing requirements where necessary.
The Ideal Candidate

Working Hours

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
