Job description

Aspire People are recruiting for a busy special educational needs school located in Northampton and are looking to recruit fantastic Teaching Assistants to work in the primary phase. Early years, Primary, or SEN experience will be welcome, however a 'can do' approach and willingness to actively join in are important assets that you will bring to the school. The successful candidate will strive to give all pupils the best educational support.

At Aspire People, our TA posts are suitable for those passionate about working with pupils who have special educational needs and making a real difference in their lives. Previous experience is desirable but not essential; your willingness to learn is vital to your success.

About you
  1. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to children and young people.
  2. A good understanding of and genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
  3. Practical experience or sound knowledge of children with autism in the classroom.
  4. Ideally, a good basic Level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent experience.
  5. A good team player.

We welcome applications from experienced candidates or those starting their careers and willing to learn and grow within the school. We will also consider applications from new graduates seeking SEND experience before embarking on a future teaching career.
