Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant in Newcastle to provide 1:1 support across KS1 and KS2. The role is based in a welcoming mainstream primary school, with a focus on helping pupils engage, build confidence and make steady academic progress under the guidance of the class teacher.

The successful candidate will have UK primary school experience, strong 1:1 support skills, excellent communication, and a positive, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a UK primary school.
• Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis.
• Confidence supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, proactive and flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils across KS1 and KS2.

The school is looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant on a short-term basis starting in September. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support to pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping to promote engagement, confidence and academic progress while working closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality support.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working within a UK primary school
