Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support in the Foundation Phase at Mountain Ash. The role involves working closely with the class teacher to support learning, promote engagement and help develop the child’s confidence and independence throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will bring experience from UK primary schools, strong communication skills and a patient, proactive approach within a team.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school.
• Experience providing effective 1:1 support to children in the Foundation Phase.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting pupils.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
