Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children across EYFS and KS1 at a primary school in Selly Oak, England. The role involves assisting with phonics, literacy and maths groups, and running small interventions tailored to individual needs.

You will work closely with teaching staff to support children with SEND, maintain a positive learning environment, and provide personal care when needed.

Qualifications

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and confident Teaching Assistant to support children across EYFS and Key stage 1 at a Primary School in Selly Oak. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about inclusive education and committed to providing high-quality support to all pupils.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to pupils in EYFS and Reception class, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, physical disabilities, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will assist in as part of the main class for phonics, literacy and Maths and be confident running group interventions and structured support in line with each pupil’s needs. You will also need to be happy to do personal care and assist with toileting.
