Job summary

Crab Lane Primary School in Blackley Village near Manchester is seeking two enthusiastic, caring Teaching Assistants (Level 2) to join our friendly team. The posts are fixed-term, full-time (34.5 hours per week) with a start date of 19 November 2026.

You will support our pupils aged 3–11, work closely with teachers, and contribute to a nurturing environment; GCSEs in English and Maths are required. Visits can be arranged via the school office.

About the Candidate

Crab Lane Primary School is a friendly and welcoming primary school in the heart of Blackley Village. We are just four miles from Manchester city centre and close to Heaton Park.


Crab Lane benefits from excellent transport links. We are easily accessible by road, Bowker Vale tram stop is nearby, and regular bus services stop on Chapel Lane, making the school convenient to reach from across North Manchester and the wider area


We are a busy two-form entry primary school with nearly 400 pupils aged from 3 to 11. Our children are at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to providing them with the very best opportunities, care and support throughout their time with us.
