Job summary

Careermakers Recruitment is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across Primary, Secondary and SEN schools throughout the North West.

We have day-to-day, short-term, long-term and permanent opportunities with flexible hours, competitive daily rates of £85-£130, weekly pay, and opportunities to gain safeguarding training and CPD. Experience with children and DBS clearance is desirable, with right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a school, nursery, care, youth work or coaching environment is desirable.
• A caring, enthusiastic and professional approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and school staff.

Pay Rates

• General Teaching Assistant: £85-£110 per day
• SEN / 1:1 Teaching Assistant: £105-£130 per day

Pay is dependent on experience, qualifications and the nature of the assignment.
