Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in Macclesfield is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in EYFS/KS1. This full-time role runs term-time only, with a November 2026 start date, and offers variety across schools while supporting children's learning and development.

You will work under teachers' guidance, assist with lesson planning, support individuals and groups, promote safe conduct, and contribute to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable but not essential.
• Holds a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Patient, caring, and flexible with excellent communication.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

Teaching Assistant – EYFS- KEY STAGE 1

Full-Time (5 days per week) | Term-Time Only | Start Date: November 2026

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, working in EYFS. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their role and is passionate about helping children of all ages achieve their potential.

About the Role

Working under the guidance of class teachers, you will:

• Support the learning and development of pupils in EYFS adapting your approach to suit different age groups and abilities
• Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and activities
• Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups, including children with additional needs
• Help promote positive behaviour and a safe, nurturing classroom environment
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCo, and support staff

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with primary-aged children (previous TA experience desirable but not essential)
• Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
• Is patient, caring, and flexible, with excellent communication skills
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
