Job summary

The Two Counties Trust's Wilsthorpe School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a committed team. You will work in partnership with teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum and school policies, helping students achieve their best.

You will support students with varying learning needs, including those with SEND, and contribute to a positive, safe learning environment. The role is permanent, full-time, with 37 hours per week across 39 weeks per year.

  • Patience and enthusiasm are essential for supporting diverse learners.
  • Experience assisting students in classrooms or similar settings is beneficial.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join an already existing committed team at Wilsthorpe School. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic hard-working and is passionate about supporting young people achieve their best. The successful candidate will work in partnership with teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice, policies and procedures.

The person:

Patience will be key to this role as you will be supporting students in a specific curriculum area or support students with varying degrees of learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties. You will play an integral part in ensuring students with any degree of SEND meet targets and progress in line with students not on the SEND register.

Grade and Salary: Grade 2: £22,279 - £23,356 actual salary per annum pro rata (£26,016 - £27,274 FTE)

Working pattern: 37 hours per week / 39 weeks per year

Contract term: Permanent
