Job summary

Tilewood School, part of Outcomes First Group, is opening in Buckinghamshire and seeks a committed Teaching Assistant to join the founding team. You will support pupils with Autism and additional needs to thrive academically, socially and emotionally in a safe, nurturing environment.

• Holds GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Level 2 or Level 3 teaching assistant qualification is essential.

• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging, personalised learning for pupils with Autism and additional needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve academically, socially and emotionally.
• Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
• Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Support Plans and communication strategies.
• Encourage independence, confidence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation and educational activities.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families to deliver consistent support.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion while maintaining accurate records and contributing to school life.

Location: Tilewood School – Buckinghamshire, MK18 5AN

Salary: £23,648 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent | Term time only

About us

Tilewood School is an exciting new addition to the Options Autism family, provisionally set to open its doors in April 2027. Designed to support up to 72 students aged 5 to 16, the school will offer a nurturing and inclusive learning environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of its pupils. For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are pioneering innovative, evidence-based approaches that deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes for everyone in our care.
