Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a flexible Supply Teaching Assistant to support local primary and secondary schools in Dartmouth and surrounding areas. You will join our daily supply team with the option to work full days or just a few days per week, enjoying a regular schedule without take-home work.

You'll assist across year groups, helping with literacy and numeracy, manage classroom behaviour, and help with setup and supervision during breaks. DBS Update Service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months UK experience working with children or young people.
• Location: based in or able to commute to Dartmouth and surrounding schools.
• Reliable, adaptable, proactive, and passionate about supporting pupils’ educational development.

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our daily supply team, supporting local primary and secondary schools across Dartmouth and the surrounding coastal and rural areas. Whether you are looking for full:time work or just a few days a week, daily supply gives you complete control over your schedule without any take:home planning or marking.

• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils needing extra support with literacy, numeracy, or engagement.
• Manage classroom behaviour positively to create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom setup, learning resources, and playground supervision during breaks.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 months UK experience working with children or young people (e.g., in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, sports coaching, or care settings).
• Location: Based in or easily able to commute to Dartmouth and surrounding local schools.
• Attributes: Reliable, adaptable, proactive, and passionate about supporting pupils educational development.
• Safeguarding: An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new one).

What We Offer

• Great Daily Rate: Earn between GBP92.56 and GBP95.00 per day, depending on experience.
• School:Friendly Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 : 15:30 with no work to take home at the end of the day.
