Job summary

Smart Education is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in the Redditch area. This role offers flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements with a competitive day rate and a dedicated consultant to support your work.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months UK experience in a primary school, strong classroom and behaviour management, DBS update service (or willingness to obtain one) and a willingness to support pupils with SEN needs across Key Stage 1 and 2.

• Minimum 6 months UK experience in a primary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• DBS update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, positive and productive classroom.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and SEN teams.

Job Requirements of a SEN Teaching Assistant

• Minimum 6 months UK experience in a Primary school
• Strong classroom and behaviour management
• Confident and supporting with learning and behaviour
• Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS on the Update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• SEN Experience desirable
