Job summary

TipTopJob is recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 near Harleston. Flexible day-to-day cover or long-term placements provide variety and stability in local primary schools and academies.

You will work with teachers, reinforce literacy and numeracy, support SEND learners, and help with classroom management. DBS enhanced disclosure is required, with a willingness to undergo vetting.

• Assist pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by tailoring learning activities to suit their individual learning styles.
• Support classroom management and encourage positive behaviour in line with school policies.
• Assist with supervision during break times, lunchtimes, and school trips as needed.

What We Look For

• A warm, patient, and encouraging approach with strong communication skills.
• Good standards of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths preferred).
• An adaptable, proactive attitude with the ability to step into different primary classrooms with confidence.
• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
