Job summary

A dedicated Teaching Assistant opportunity in Woodbridge and surrounding areas with flexible day-to-day or long-term placements. You’ll support EYFS, KS1 and KS2 across various schools.

Ideal candidates have a warm, patient approach, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to different primary classrooms. DBS checks will be required; prior experience in education or childcare is welcomed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to class teachers in preparing resources, managing classroom activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to reinforce literacy, numeracy, and core curriculum tasks.

Help children build confidence, focus, and social skills, offering gentle guidance and encouragement.

Assist pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by tailoring learning activities to suit their individual learning styles.

Support classroom management and encourage positive behaviour in line with school policies.

Assist with supervision during break times, lunchtimes, and school trips as needed.

What We Look For:

Previous experience supporting children in an educational, childcare, nursery, or community setting.

A warm, patient, and encouraging approach with strong communication skills.

Good standards of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths preferred).

An adaptable, proactive attitude with the ability to step into different primary classrooms with confidence.

A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
