Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a dedicated teaching assistant for a large mixed secondary school in Bury, starting September 2026. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with CPD training provided and registration required through Teaching Personnel.

The successful candidate will deliver one-to-one interventions, assist groups, and work with teachers to support the national curriculum across KS3 and KS4. Competitive pay and PAYE weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Deliver one-to-one interventions to students requiring additional support.
• Assist small groups of students with their knowledge of the curriculum and completion of set work.
• Work closely with the class teacher to plan lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted support to students in a classroom setting.
• Support KS3 and KS4 pupils across a range of subjects.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans and schemes of work.

Overview

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a large mixed secondary school in Bury to appoint a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to join their team of support staff from September 2026.

• Competitive pay with no umbrella or agency fee
• Paid weekly, every Friday via PAYE
• Full-time role, Monday - Friday
• Registration required through Teaching Personnel prior to start
• Full CPD training provided

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one interventions to students requiring additional support within the classroom
• Assist small groups of students with their knowledge of the curriculum and completion of set work
• Work closely with the class teacher to prepare and plan lessons in line with the national curriculum and schemes of work
• Be flexible and able to work across KS3 and KS4, across a variety of subjects and pupil abilities

Location & Availability

Based in Bury, with accessibility from surrounding areas such as Salford, Rochdale and Bolton. Full-time, Monday–Friday start from September 2026.
