Job summary

STEP Academy Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for La Fontaine Academy in London. This role is 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only plus INSET days.

The post focuses on supporting individuals and small groups to improve literacy and numeracy, with strong teamwork and excellent communication across staff and pupils. The ideal candidate will have school experience, be proactive, and committed to equalities policies.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a school setting and be highly proactive and committed to going that extra mile to ensure pupils achieve the best they possibly can
• Experience of planning and undertaking interventions that have a positive impact on pupils and their learning outcomes
• Be able to communicate with all staff and pupils
• Display a commitment to the Trust’s equalities policies
• An understanding of, and prior experience of supporting children with special needs is desirable
