Job summary

Leigh Academy Hundred of Hoo is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary team. You will support pupils in class and individually, helping them learn and develop socially and emotionally.

We value collaboration across primary and secondary phases, professional development, and a supportive school community. This permanent role offers a salary of £19,547 per annum, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time plus inset.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both within the classroom and on an individual basis, helping them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will work closely with class teachers and wider support staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported and valued.
