Job summary

Inspire EHC is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in the Gamlingay area of Cambridgeshire. The role supports pupils across Key Stage 1 and may involve flexibility across year groups to meet school needs.

You will work with teachers to deliver day-to-day learning, support individual pupils, including those with ASC, promote positive behaviour, and help children build confidence and social skills. DBS check is required and sponsorship is not available.

  • Caring, patient and enthusiastic about supporting children.
  • Genuine interest in working in a primary school environment.
  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Experience or interest in supporting children with SEND/ASC (ASC).
  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Calm, adaptable and able to respond to changing needs.
  • Team player in a teaching/support team.
  • Has an enhanced Adult & Child DBS on update service.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting teachers with classroom activities and day-to-day learning.
  • Working predominantly with pupils across KS1 and may support across year groups.
  • Providing general classroom and individual pupil support as required.
  • Supporting children with additional needs, including ASC.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and participation.
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Creating a safe, calm and supportive learning environment.
  • Adapting approach to meet individual needs and working with school staff.

Teaching Assistant

Location: Gamlingay area, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time, Term Time Only

Contract: Full-Time | Temporary until October Half Term

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity within a supportive primary school environment? We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Gamlingay area of Cambridgeshire.

The role will primarily involve supporting pupils across Key Stage 1, although flexibility may be required to work across different year groups depending on the needs of the school. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and supports a number of pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other additional needs.

About the Position

The role will include:

  • Supporting teachers with classroom activities and day-to-day learning

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team
