Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a supportive mid Devon school to appoint a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant. You will work 1:1 or in small groups to help with engagement, learning, and emotional regulation, in a calm, patient, adaptable environment.

The role is ideal for someone with SEND experience, a caring attitude, and strong teamwork and communication skills who is committed to inclusive education and helping pupils reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH).
• A caring and proactive attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to aid engagement and learning.
• Assist with emotional regulation and classroom routines.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping with classroom engagement, emotional regulation, and learning. This role will suit someone with a calm, patient and adaptable approach who is committed to inclusive education.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH)
