Job summary

Academics are recruiting on behalf of an independent secondary SEMH School in Fareham, Hampshire who are looking for three experienced Teaching Assistant's to join them in September.

This is a full-time, term-time Teaching Assistant position. Potential temp to perm contract. The successful candidate will support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs on a 1:1 and small group basis, with class sizes around three pupils per class, enabling strong relationships and tailored learning.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN, especially SEMH.
• Ability to tailor lessons to individual learning levels.
• Comfort working with pupils with challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs within lessons.
• Contribute to a positive, safe learning environment in an alternative education setting.

Academics are recruiting on behalf of an independent secondary SEMH School in Fareham, Hampshire who are looking for three experienced Teaching Assistant's to join them in September.

This is a full-time, term-time Teaching Assistant position. Potential temp to perm contract.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be required to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs on a 1:1 and small group basis. Class sizes are approximately three pupils per class so you will be able to build strong relationships with these young people and be able to tailor lessons to meet their individual learning levels.

They are ideally looking for Teaching Assistant's with experience of supporting children with SEN, in particular SEMH/challenging behaviours, although open to anyone with a passion for working with children, especially those in an alternative educational setting.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
