Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd in Croydon is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant to support students with learning difficulties and autism. The role involves helping with personal care, mobility and therapy sessions to enable students to access learning and reach their potential.

You will join a committed team, work hands-on with pupils who have complex needs, and promote an inclusive learning environment. The position starts ASAP with a 8.30am–4pm schedule and non-negotiable hours.

Qualifications

• Passion for SEND and enthusiasm to work with students with SEND.
• Experience or knowledge of Autism or complex needs.
• Ability to contribute to students' learning journey.
• Training such as manual handling, hoisting and personal care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning difficulties and autism.

Assistant Are you a SEND Learning Support Assistant OR worked within the care sector with experience supporting students with learning difficulties and Autism.

Empowering Learning Ltd are looking to appoint outstanding SEND Learning Support Assistants in the Croydon area with experience supporting SEND students, particularly to work with students with Profound Multiple Learning difficulties.

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who are hands on and can support students with physical needs; assisting with personal care such as hygiene and feeding, manual handling and assisting with therapy sessions to support students to reach the best of their abilities. You will also be responsible for promoting an inclusive learning environment. So, if you would like the opportunity to make a difference to others and develop a career in working with children with then this is a great opportunity to do so. This position is to start ASAP. Hours of work 8.30 till 4pm. ( not negotiable)

To be successful for this role you must:

• Have passion, enthusiasm, and willingness to work in SEND Learning environments
• Have knowledge and experience with Autism or complex needs students
• Play a significant role in the students learning journey
• Additional training such as manual handling, hoisting, personal care.
