Job summary

Rosebery School in Epsom is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated SEND team. You will support learning, assist with social and emotional development, and help ensure accessible, well-organised classrooms for all students.

Working closely with teachers, you will help with visits, supervision, and delivery of therapy and care programmes designed by external agencies, fostering a calm, inclusive environment and positive relationships across the school community.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young people, ideally with SEN.
  • Empathetic communicator capable of building positive relationships with students and adults.
  • Ability to scaffold students' learning and support development.
  • Commitment to the process of learning and improvement.
  • Positive role model who stays calm and objective.
  • Team player who believes every child can succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Support learning and student development in lessons and SEND areas.
  • Assist with student visits, break and Lunchtime supervision.

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and collaborative SEND team, to support the learning and development of all of our students.

Your opportunity

As a key member of the Rosebery SEND team and working closely with Teaching colleagues, our Teaching Assistants provide high-quality and timely support to students, supporting their learning and development, in areas such as independent learning, social and emotional wellbeing and metacognitive skills including planning, problem solving and reviewing. The successful candidate will maintain a presence in lessons and SEND support areas, ensuring students have access to uncluttered, well-organised learning environments and have the resources necessary to access their learning as independently as possible. Our Teaching Assistants also assist with supporting student educational visits, break and lunchtime supervision and deliver therapy and/or care programmes designed by external agencies.

The Details:

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: GLF Associate 2.1 £23,914

Actual Salary:£17,858.57

Hours: 31.25 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.15am - 3pm (Term time only - 39 weeks)

Closing Date:Sunday 30th August at 11.59pm
