Job summary

GLF Schools is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 behavioural, social and regulation support for a pupil within a Warren Mead cluster setting. This term-time role emphasises pupil wellbeing and learning progress in a supportive school community.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience with autism and the ability to collaborate with families and external agencies to tailor interventions.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis.
  • Experience or training in autism support.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children.
  • Calm, objective, and able to work with outside agencies.
  • Excellent communication with parents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 behavioural and social support for a pupil.
  • Deliver high-frequency intervention and regulation support.
  • Work collaboratively with schools and external agencies.
  • Support pupil wellbeing and learning journey.

Your opportunity

We are looking to appoint a motivated Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis, providing behavioural and social support, high-frequency intervention and regulation support for an individual pupil. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about pupil wellbeing and committed to making a positive impact on a child's learning journey.

We are ideally seeking a candidate with experience working with children with autism or relevant autism support training, who can adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of the pupil.

About Warren Mead Schools

The Details

Start Date: September 2026

FTE Salary: £23,914

Pro Rata Salary: £17,858.57

Pay Range: GLF Associate Grade 2.1

Hours:31.25hrs - Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.15pm (Term time 39 weeks)

Closing Date: Monday 31st August at 11.59pm
