Job summary

Warren Mead Infant and Junior Partnership is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil with autism and related needs. The role focuses on behavioural, social, and learning support within a supportive team.

The successful candidate will work 31.25 hours per week during term-time, with a pro rata salary and opportunities for professional development within GLF Schools.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering 1:1 learning support.
• Ability to support behavioural and social needs.
• Experience with autism or autism-specific training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioural and learning support to a pupil.
• Deliver high-frequency intervention and regulation strategies.
• Collaborate with school staff and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing.

Your opportunity

We are looking to appoint a motivated Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis, providing behavioural and social support, high-frequency intervention and regulation support for an individual pupil. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about pupil wellbeing and committed to making a positive impact on a child’s learning journey.

We are ideally seeking a candidate with experience working with children with autism or relevant autism support training, who can adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of the pupil.

The Details

Start Date:September 2026

FTE Salary: £23,914

Pro Rata Salary: £17,858.57

Pay Range: GLF Associate Grade 2.1

Hours:31.25hrs - Monday – Friday 8.30am - 3.15pm(Term time 39 weeks)
