Job summary

Trust Education are recruiting on behalf of a primary school in the WF2 area for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.

This part-time role starts as soon as possible, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Key Stage 1 team and gain ongoing placements within local primary schools.

Qualifications

• Experience in Key Stage 1 (Year 1/2) and supporting diverse learning needs.
• Ability to deliver intervention programmes and small-group support.
• Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across Year 1 and Year 2 during all classroom sessions.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils.
• Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils of all abilities to achieve their potential.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a minimum Tecahing Assistant status or have relevant experience within a similar role
• Have experience working within Key Stage 1
• Be confident delivering intervention programmes and small group support
• Be reliable, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Have a proactive and positive approach to supporting teaching and learning
• Be flexible and confident providing class cover when required
