Job summary

Arbour Academy, a specialist SEMH provision within the Kings Academy Trust, is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our team in Eccles, United Kingdom. You will support learners with additional needs, working closely with teachers to promote learning, wellbeing and positive behaviour.

You will help implement support plans, prepare learning resources, monitor progress, and contribute to assessments and records.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support learners with a range of additional needs, both individually and in groups.
  • Work closely with teachers to support learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Help implement support plans and monitor learner progress.
  • Prepare and adapt learning resources, including the use of ICT where appropriate.
  • Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Contribute to assessments, reports and record keeping.
  • Support learners during exams, trips, residentials and off-site activities.
  • Liaise effectively with staff, parents and other professionals where required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all school policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training and wider school activities as required.

We are seeking a committed and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to supporting vulnerable learners, and who thrives in a collaborative, supportive team environment.
