Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a Good-rated primary school in Eastbourne. You will help pupils with SEN access learning, support emotional wellbeing, and work alongside teachers to deliver targeted plans.

The role offers Flexible hours and competitive pay, with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant. DBS checks are required or in process, and safeguarding is a priority for the school.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with additional needs or a relevant qualification is desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and encouraging approach is essential.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting emotional wellbeing.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are required.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEN to access learning and the wider curriculum.
  • Help with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver support plans.
  • Provide consistent support throughout the day, including breaks and enrichment activities.

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of an Ofsted-rated "Good" Primary School, and we are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join their supportive and welcoming team.

The Role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
