Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in Leicester City Centre for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support KS3 and KS4 students. The role focuses on providing 1:1 and small group assistance to children with SEMH challenges to help them engage with learning.

The Successful candidate will have experience in SEMH or SEND settings, strong behaviour management, and a calm, patient, resilient approach.

Are you passionate about supporting young people who face social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges? Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour, youth services, care settings, alternative provisions, or educational environments?

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Leicester City Centre seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity for an empathetic, resilient, and proactive individual who can build positive relationships and help students overcome barriers to learning.

The Role

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support, both in and out of the classroom. Your role will be instrumental in helping young people engage positively with education and achieve their potential.

Key responsibilities include:
