Job summary

Abbey Road Primary School is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated staff. This full-time, 37-hour per week position runs during term time plus INSET days, commencing as soon as possible in October 2026.

You will work alongside class teachers and the SENDCo to provide 1:1 support, assist with personal care, and help the child develop independence in an inclusive learning environment. A supportive team and safeguarding commitments are emphasized.

Abbey Road Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and dedicated staff team.

This is a full-time (37 hours a week), permanent role, during term time only (plus INSET days) to commence as soon as possible in October 2026.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers, teaching assistants and the school SENDCo to provide dedicated 1:1 support. The role will involve supporting a child's personal care needs as well as helping them develop the skills, confidence and independence needed to thrive within an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
